| Ronald B. Herberman, MD Chairman of Board Ronald B. Herberman, M.D., is the Chief Medical Officer at Intrexon Corporation, an innovative genetic engineering biotech company that is focused mainly on immunotherapy of cancer. Prior to joining Intrexon, Dr. Herberman served as the founding Director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) and UPMC Cancer Centers for over 24 years. In addition to his leadership of UPCI and UPMC Cancer Centers, Dr. Herberman served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Cancer Research, and Hillman Professor of Oncology, and Professor of Medicine and Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Herberman is an internationally recognized tumor immunologist who has made major discoveries in his field, most notably the initial descriptions and characterization of the biological functions of natural killer (NK) cells, and has fostered the application of this information to novel approaches to cancer therapy. He was the recipient of the Governor of Pennsylvania’s Award for Excellence in Science in 1991, Carnegie Science Center Award for Biomedical Research in 2003, and Lifetime Achievement Award from Pittsburgh Business Times in 2005. |

Morris Mellion, MD Vice Chairman of Board Morris B. “Moe” Mellion, MD, is a retired family physician, who has served as President of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, Associate Medical Director of the national Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and Chairman of its National Council of Physician Executives. As a faculty member at the University of Nebraska’s Medical Center and Nebraska Omaha campuses, he taught family practice and sports medicine, served nineteen years as Team Physician for men’s and women’s sports, and authored multiple sports medicine textbooks. |

Angela Zener, MPH Angela Zener, MPH has been working closely with Dr. Davis for the past 18 years on Environmental Oncology issues, advising specifically in the areas of communication, research and technology. She is currently the Director of Web 2.0 Communities and Content at LexisNexis where she sets strategies and implements platforms to advance the use of social media for legal professionals. Angela held previous positions in Marketing technology at SAP and top management consulting firms. She holds a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and a Masters in Public Health Policy from the University of California at Berkeley. Originally from Palo Alto, California, Angela currently resides in the New York Metro area with her family. Angela looks forward to her contribution to the Environmental Health Trust organization through her expertise in applying technology for communication, scientific advancement, social policy and health education. |

David Servan-Schreiber, MD PhD In Memoriam David Servan-Schreiber, M.D., Ph.D. is a physician, neuroscientist, science writer and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is also a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine of Lyon I. He co-founded and then directed the Centre for Integrative Medicine of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Following his volunteer activity as physician in Iraq in 1991, he was one of the original founders of the US branch of Médecins Sans Frontières, the international organization that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. In 2002 he was awarded the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society Presidential Award for Outstanding Career in Psychiatry.
